Since 2008, “Western Hold” LLC has been operating in Khovd province with a woodworking workshop and a reinforced concrete plant, and producing its own raw materials for construction, which allowed the company to execute the construction works in reliable and quality manners. In addition, our company has been expanding the scale of its businesses in various sectors and increasing the size of the plant year by year. In 2019, it had commenced the construction of Khovd Eco Cement Plant in Western region.
An official opening ceremony of the plant was held on April 21 and the production of cement was started at its full capacity.
Circulating boiler, which is the heart of the plant, was fired for its first cement production.
The construction of the plant was carried out without single day stop during the pandemic from 2020 to 2022
On May 13, the President of Mongolia U.Khurelsukh, while serving as the Prime Minister of Mongolia, presented at the groundbreaking ceremony of “Khovd Eco Cement” Project, and the construction work that will be significant milestone in the prosperity of Western region of Mongolia was officially started.

The construction and commissioning of a plant with a production capacity of 250,000 tons of cement was approved by Resolution No. 335 of the Government of Mongolia.
According to Resolution No. 171 of Government of Mongolia on Showing support for the production of construction materials, it was planned to establish a cement plant in Western Mongolia in line to the prospects of population resettlement and construction.
Western Hold LLC was found.
